Essay

The thesis is devoted to determining the influence of external factors such as ionizing radiation, annealing, constant and alternating electric fields on the paramagnetic impurities in quartz, associated with the presence of ions of different metals. Based on the dose dependence and the curves of annealing of paramagnetic centers in quartz were selected modes of irradiation and annealing to obtain the required concentrations and their ratios. It was shown that spin-lattice relaxation time of E, Ge3+/Na+ centers decreases monotonically, approaching the relaxation time for the Al-O- centers, when the difference between the resonance frequencies decreases. To describe the interaction in such systems of paramagnetic centers proposed a model of the spin refrigerator. For samples of quartz resonators with varying degrees of defects by value of electric-field effect was determined parameter, which determines the width of the distribution function of internal, randomly oriented electric fields. Low concentrations of Al-O- centers in quartz resonators causes a number of features of electric-field effects, related to the saturation of signals at relatively low power microwave field.
