Essay

The present Thesis work is dedicated to solution of topical issue- improvement of energetic and hydrodynamic characteristics of centrifugal pump stage based on solving of direct 3-D problem considering the mutual influence of rotor bundle elements in non-stationary arrangement. Based on principles of mass, momentum and energy conservation the closed mathematical model of turbulence and algorithm of computational solution of direct problem with regard to blade system of centrifugal pump were developed. In thesis work the model of large-scale turbulence was realized, when the viscosity forces play a subordinate part and they may be neglected; vortex wake may be by free vortexes , and body flow by discrete closed vortex frames. Such an approach is called a method of hydrodynamic peculiarities. It features as follows:-visualization and design ability;- computations effectiveness;- approach versatility;- reasonable combination of simplicity of the main modules (closed vortex frames) and those possibilities that are opened when elaborated three-dimensional flows on their basis are simulated;- flexibility and wideness, included into discrete descriptions in time and space and non-stationary approach.
