Dudyn R. Phytocenotical structure of ancient parks and ways of its regulation (parks of the Western Ukraine are used as an example)

Research object: ancient parks of Western Ukraine. Research goal: study of phytocenotical structure and dynamics of vegetation groupments in ancient parks and elaboration of the ways of increasing their stableness, longevity, and phytoreclamation effectiveness. Research methods: forest valuation, climatic, groundological, phytocenotical, mathematical statistics. Scientific novelty: the features of phytocenotical structure constituents of ancient Western Ukrainian parks are generalized; systematization of parks' modern flora is done; age periodic cycles of parks' groupments development are found out and developmental models of analogous phytocenoses are offered; the landscape planning approaches to implementing preservation, restoration, and reconstructive measures are improved. The degree of introduction: the results of dissertational work will be used for scientifically based garden and park economy in Lviv and Khmelnitskiy. Branch of use: the economy of gardens and parks.
