Essay

The thesis is devoted to the researches of forest-meliorate efficiency of different constructions of windbreaks formed by thinning and their influence on microclimate of adjacent agricultural territories. The influence of different constructions in leaves and leaveness states on wind regime of adjacent fields, snow accumulation, water regime of soil upper layer, and influence of lighting on ground cover under windbreak canopy have been found out. The efficiency of applying of herbicides for coppice control was determined. The optimal constructions of windbreaks for the region have been grounded in the researching region. Economic efficiency of thinning and use of herbicides in the windbreaks of different constructions have been calculated.
