Dankevich S. State of forest seed complex of Scotch pine in Small Polissya and ways of saving they gene pool.

A research object - is a forest seed complex of Scotch pine in Male Polissya (Small Polissya). Goal - find out the stage and tendencies of forest seed complex of Scotch pine in Male Polissya, to work out forestry activity and ways of recreation and maintenance of gene pool of unique highly productive pine cenosis population of region. Research methods: silvicultural and taxation; genetic and plant-breeding; electro-physiological; light microscopy; spectrophotometrys; gas-liquid chromatography; mathematic-statistic. Scientific novelty: It is defined that the plus stand of Scotch pine in "Lopatinskiy" reserve and clones has attained critical age and the processes of aging, which are accompanied by attenuation of the physiology state of trees and discord of phytocenosis, develop intensively in them. Found out large individual changeability of plus trees and clones on the morphometric indexes of cones and seed. At the overwhelming amount of trees the high indexes of fullness of seeds are saved, economic germination and energy of seed germination. Clear differentiation of trees of different plant-breeding categories is set after content of plastid pigments. First found out the features of biosynthesis of terpen hydrocarbons by plus and normal trees and clones of Lopatyn cenosis population of Scotch pine. Results: In dissertation work are developed and approved the system of forestry activity, that are directed on stimulation of reproductive processes in highly productive over mature stand of Scotch pine, forwarding of its seed-cultural renewal and providing the successful growth and development of self-seeding and undergrowth. According to the result of researches has grown up half-sibs generations of plus trees of Scotch pine in State Enterprise "Radekhiv forestry and game economy" is created domestic plantation on an one hectare area. The research results also are used for development of "Program on renewal and maintenance of Scotch pine in forest reserve of national value "Lopatynskyi", that was agreed with Government Service of Preserve Affairs of Ukraine in 30.09.2008 and affirmed with Government of Forestry Committee (Derzhkomlisgosp) of Ukraine in 22.10.2008.
