Bondarenko S. Gold mineralization of the western part of the Ukrainian Shield

Topomineralogical features of deposits and ore manifestations of native gold of the western part of the Ukrainian Shield are studied. For this part of the Ukrainian Shield based mineralogical-geochemical data systematization of manifestation of gold mineralization is carried out for the first time. Such mineralogical-geochemical types of endogenic gold mineralization as gold-arsenic, gold-quartz, gold-sulphidic, gold-quartz-silver are distinguished. Results of studying of material composition of ores, the stages and conditions of their formation, distribution of the main ore minerals in different types of ore mineralization are represented. Detailed investigation of the minerals of gold, silver, bismuth, tellurium, thallium and selenium found for the first time for the Ukrainian Shield is carried out. It is shown, that the established types occur in certain spatial-temporal interrelations that is caused by general evolution of processes of ore formation and formation of rock complexes of the region. On the basis of studying of typomorphic features of native gold and indicator ore minerals criteria of search and evaluation of ores on potentially ore-bearing areas are suggested.
