Kolomiiets' H. The formation of the structure of the phytobiota of steppe anthropogenic ecosystems

Quantitative regularities have been distinguished concerning the formation of the structure of the phytobiota of ten classes of steppe anthropogenic ecosystems according to the following indices: spectrum of leading families, relative abundance of policarpous, monocarpous, hemicryptophytous, therophytous herb, tap root species, plants without specialized underground shoots, oligohemerobes, polyhemerobes, apophytes and anthropophytes. The origin of the latter has been ascertained, including the spectrum of the principal families, structure of the time and mode of invasion, extent of naturalization. Only 10% of the steppants in the study region have morphological and biological features which enhance the ability of the plants to survive in anthropogenic ecosystems. Quantitative indicators have been elaborated to assess the extent of naturalness of the phytobiota in order to distinguish key areas and ones that can be restored within the frame of an econet in steppe flatlands.
