Essay

The effects of alloying with carbon and the temperature on magnetic order, interatomic interaction and thermal expansion of the f.c.c. Fe-Ni alloys сcontaining nearby 20-30%Ni were studied in the present work in order to increase the understanding of nature of Invar and antiInvar phenomena. The abnormal behavior of HMF and interatomic interaction in the alloys in proximity of ТС was revealed and the correlation with the Invar anomaly was established. The value of volume magnetostriction MS in the Fe-Ni-Х (X = C, Mn, Co) alloys were estimated and opposite effect of Mn and Co on it was established. The Invar anomaly in PVD CAE coatings obtained from non-Invar f.c.c. Fe-Ni-Co-Y alloy was revealed and physical reason of its appearance was established. The antiInvar anomaly in the f.c.c. Fe-(20-25)%Ni-С alloys was established and it was shown that it correlates with evolution of magetic order with the change of temperature.
