The aim of research work is to investigate theoretical and methodical fundamentals of territorial organization of regional health care system. The object of scientific research - the formation processes of territorial organization of Ukraine's health care system and its regions under market conditions. The subject of scientific research is a body of theoretical statements, methodical and organization and economic approaches to regional health care system development and improvement of its territorial organization, which considers available resource potential, state of population health, regional factors effect, preconditions, and organization and economic mechanism of realization by means of a budget and insurance model of national health care system, which gives an opportunity to formulate wished changes of territorial organization of regional health care system in short- and long term prospects. The methods of scientific research: system analysis of economic processes, statistics analysis, prognostic, logical and structural ones. The scientific novelty of gained results: The perspective model of regional health care system development. The results. - the methodical approaches for estimation of regional health care system development; strategic approaches of effective usage of resource potential of Poltava region's health care system; proposals for involvement of extra financial resources.
