Essay

The aim of this study is the analysis of space weather variations over Ukraine that were accompanied by series of ionospheric storms occurred during the 2003 - 2006 period. Investigation object is geospace plasma in the height range 100 - 1500 km over Ukraine. Investigation methods are experimental, numerical modeling of physical processes in geospace. The quantitative characteristics of variations midlatitude ionosphere of Europe during the geomagnetic storms are obtained. The study of the physical processes and mechanisms which result in beginnings of the ionospheric storms are presented. The area of application are the fundamental investigations geospace.
