Essay

The dissertation is a study of typical features of the electron-all-phonon-mode interaction for semiconducting quasi-two-dimensional cubic and hexagonal heterostructures. The wave-vector dependences of the polaron binding energy, average speed are found. The infinite- and finite-barrier quantum-well structures with different electron-optical-phonon coupling strengths and quantum-well widths are compared. The dispersion relation for all phonon modes for symmetric and asymmetric threelayer wurtzite nanoscale heterostructures are obtained.
