Olena G. Ukrainian-Russian relations of 1991-2008: economic aspect.

The thesis is devoted to complex research of the history of the Ukrainian-Russian relations in the period of 1991-2008. Periodization of the Ukrainian-Russian relations has been determined. It has been also established that under inner and external processes bilateral economic relations didn't happen to be correspondent with periods of political cooperation. General positive dynamics of the Ukrainian-Russian trade and economic cooperation development has been proved. The process of formation of the normative legal basis of the economic relations between Ukraine and Russian Federation has been investigated. Regional priorities of Russian Federation have been found in the process of analysis of investment Ukrainian-Russian cooperation. It has been proved that mutually beneficial development of production cooperation of two countries has been accompanied by the growth of threatening tendencies in the aspect of national safety. The conclusion that despite the possible changes in political situation one may expect the preserving of the tendency of growth of bilateral economic cooperation scope has been made.
