Object of research: economic development of region. The purpose of research: development of theoretical and scientific-methodical rules concerning definition of influence of use of natural potential on economic development of region. Methods of research: abstract-logic, analysis and synthesis, theoretical generalization, system analysis, comparison; economy-statistical; the theories of indistinct sets. Theoretical and practical results: is profound, have found the further development and the scientific-theoretical rules concerning an effective utilization of natural potential as factor of economic development of region are advanced. The theoretical conclusions are lead up to a level of the concrete recommendations, can promote increase of a management efficiency by development of region, are used in activity of senior Management of economy of Donetsk regional state administration; Senior managements of statistics in Donetsk area of State committee of statistics of Ukraine; the executive committee of Donetsk urban advice; state management of protection of an environment in Donetsk area; the state regional geological enterprise "Donetskgeology"; in educational process of Donetsk state university of management Ministry of education and Sciences of Ukraine; PHEI "Donetsk institute of social education". Scientific novelty: the methodical approach to an integrated estimation of economic potential of region and its making is offered on the basis of use of the mathematical device of the theory of indistinct sets; the conceptual approaches to an effective utilization of economic potential of region are determined which take into account an integrated estimation, narrowness of interrelations of its components. Are advanced: the approach to the analysis of dynamics of economic development of region; receptions of an estimation of economic potential of region; The approach to definition of influence of natural potential of region through a prism of specialization based on allocation of the appropriate branch structure of a economy; receptions of selection of parameters for construction it is a lot of factoring regression of model.
