Essay

The dissertation is a study of the effect of chlorine doping impurity and growth conditions on the structure, electrical and optical properties of cadmium telluride bulk single crystals. CdTe single crystals were obtained by the technique based on the modified vapour transport method. It is defined that physical properties of CdTe:Cl are determined by the alteration of the point defect system of cadmium telluride in consequence of doping, as well as by the presence of inhomogeneities related to the non-uniform dopant distribution within the crystals volume.
