Essay

The objects are populations of Symphytum cordatum. The aim is to study the patterns of population organization and to reveal the changes of individual and group parameters of S. cordatum in various ecological-coenotic conditions in different parts of the species range. The methods are methods of population and soils research and statistical. Performed investigations defined the level of differentiation in populations by these aspects, revealed the ontogeny of S. cordatum, as well as dependence of its individual and group parameters on ecological factors and anthropogenous impact. Patterns of the species population organization, which facilitate the adaptation of populations to variable environmental conditions were established. Recommendations on conservation of the remotest from the Carpathians low-numbered isolated lowland populations of S. cordatum are presented. Application spheres are conservation of populations and academic studies.
