Yeryganov O. Increasing of reliability for start of ship's main engine

The dissertation is devoted to increasing of reliability for starting process of ship's main engine. The result of analysis undertaken has shown, that reliable start of ship's main engine is actual scientific task stipulated by the safety in navigation. Based on theory of reliability, the method of increasing of reliability was chosen. Criteria, which reflects the difference between real and idealized starting process, was offered to assess the reliability of it. In order to obtain the mathematical description of processes, the model was created. To research the starting process experimentally, the technology was developed. Results of experimentally research of ship's engine and physical regularity were shown. Also the validity of mathematical model was determined. The factors, which have an influence for start, were researched. To increase the reliability of start, the algorithm of correction of starting air delivery was offered.
