Essay

In this Ph.D. thesis the questions of automated control by graphitation process in Acheson DC kiln is considered. Fulfilled experimental researches of graphitation campaigns have revealed features of the basic processes passage in Acheson kiln. Decomposition of a problem of control by process is carried out. Optimisation criteria for partial problems of control are formulated. Are developed adaptive model of a temperature field of the graphitation kiln and model of a thermoelastic condition of products during graphitation campaign. The effective method of estimation of graphitation degree products is developed during graphitation campaign. Algorithms of control by stages of graphitation process are created. Two-level control system of graphitation process in Acheson DC kiln was designed, which on the basis of the developed algorithms provides economy of the electric power to 18 % on each graphitation campaign and reduces duration of campaign more than twice.
