Regarding new INTERMAGNET observatories data and model calculations (Tsyganenko's T01 model), the specification of magnetic storm field longitudinal asymmetry is received. Local areas of long positive geomagnetic disturbances in sub-auroral zones are noted during the main phase of certain storms. By using of the spherical harmonic analysis, the difference of contributions of external and internal parts of the field in the American, Euro-African, Australian-Asian longitudinal sectors for separate magnetic storms 1997-2001 is defined. By modelling calculations, features of distribution of individual current sources fields are received and their contribution to a total field of disturbances is defined.
