Thesis for Scientific Degree of Candidate of Science (Engineering) by specialty 05.11.13 - equipment and methods of testing and substances composition determination. - National Technical University "Kharkov Polytechnic Institute", - Kharkov, 2010. The purpose and objectives of the study. Objective is to improve the magnetic method nondestructive testing of objects with complex geometric shapes by ensuring the maximum intensity of the fields of crack in the optimization operations of magnetization. The object of study - the testing process of products of complex geometric shapes with magnetic flaw detection. Subject of investigation - Operation magnetization complex objects and devices that implement it. The thesis covers the magnetization operation optimization in magnetic nondestructive testing of ferromagnetic objects of complex geometrical shape. The method of an optimal choosing of scheme and mode of products magnetization following the requirements of providing with the largest strength of discontinuity flaws magnetic fields is offered. The method is based on the software for simulation and analysis of 3D configuration of magnetic fields of products with flaws under different modes of testing. The software contains the library of magnetic field sources models. Arbitrary shapes of tested object and flaw, their finite dimensions, nonlinear magnetic properties of the object material, nonuniform spaces configuration of magnetization field are taken into account during simulation. Key words: magnetic nondestructive testing, ferromagnetic object of complex geometrical shape, arbitrarily shaped discontinuity flaw, magnetization operation, scheme and mode of magnetization, information magnetic field.
