Essay

The dissertation analised the politic history of Czechoslovakia within the years of 1940 – 1950. It is viewed as a history of a left-totalitarian state. The latter could be proved by the evident quantity of characteristic features. The other aspect of analysis is closely connected with the analysis of the repressive measures undertaken in the struggle for power in Czechoslovakia. The major political legal proceedings and mass repressions also were analyzed. The repressions of different socio-politic trends within 1948 – 1953 in Czechoslovakia were aimed at the most important objective i.e. at the elimination of all forms of heterodoxy and at the social acceptance of only one true principles of Marxism-Leninism. The given dissertation clears up the peculiarity of the confessional politics of the Czech state. Although the law on the separation of church and state was not issued, still the state power of Czechoslovakia eliminated the «reaction bulwark» and created the dependent church structures and included them into political system of totalitarian pattern.
