Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of bioecological properties of species of genus Larix Mill., introduced in Right - Bank Forest - Steppe. The seasonal rhythm of development of plants, variability of structural characteristics of strobils and seeds are investigated, also sowing qualities of seeds were determined. The tolerance of larch-trees against infavourable factors of the environment is studied. The considerable photophily of larch-trees, also their the drought resistance, gas- and smoke-resistance were noted. The effective methods of reproduction are elaborated. The estimation of decorative qualities of larch-trees is realized. The methods of use theirs in landscape gardening were elaborated.
