Essay

This thesis is devoted to the problem of coordinate documentation of nondestructive testing process which is realized by traditional flaw detectors where scanning of the object surface is accomplished manu-ally. The thesis contains precision and processing speed analysis of all methods used for such problem solution. There were analyzed me-chanical systems of coordinate scanning which contacts with trans-ducer but such systems can't provide coordinate definition of a com-plicated scanning surface of the object. It is proposed the three-dimensional acoustical system for definition of a flaw detector's trans-ducer dimensional coordinates, but this system has unallowable errors when air movement is happened in an inspection zone. The author has developed some optical scan systems with revolving mirrors. In spite of the fact that coordinate definition has high accuracy, the author considers them to be ineffective because of complicated design and low reliability. The final author's developments are two-camera optical systems with CCD matrixes in focal planes of the lens. The base of these systems is two cameras placed on the ends of 1m measur-ing base under the angle equal 90. Such systems provide high accu-racy at random angular position of the transducer axis.
