Object of research - lining and non-lining track designs on ferro-concrete cross ties with typical and modern elastic rail linkages. Methods of researches - the theory of calculations of a railway way on durability and firmness, the theory of traction calculations, a settlement-theoretical method of definition of cross-section horizontal forces, experimental tests at laboratory stands from definition of technical characteristics of linkages lining and non-lining designs of a rail track. Practical value: developed the schedule-passport allow to define at engineering level horizontal cross-section forces; the received results of operational influence of a rolling stock on a track, have allowed to recommend scopes lining and non-lining designs of a track with elastic domestic rail linkages; the results received in the dissertation have been used in research workings out of chair "Reconstruction and operation of railways and constructions" SETTU both branch "the Way and traveling constructions" ESC Ukrzaliznytsi. Scientific novelty of the received results: for the first time on the Ukrainian railways it is executed theoretical calculations and the developed technique from definition of horizontal cross-section forces of interaction between wheels of mobile crew and a track design on ferro-concrete cross ties taking into account longitudinal compressing forces in a train, schemes of a description and design features of autocoupling devices; total horizontal forces taking into account the quasistatic compressing longitudinal force operating at braking of a train and design features of coupling devices are defined; bench experimental researches of firmness and reliability of modern domestic designs of rail linkages are spent. Introduction degree - the received sizes of horizontal cross-section forces and the carried out analysis of longitudinal firmness of a track have been used by preparation of the data in "Rules of calculations of a railway way on durability and firmness", Ukrzaliznitsi confirmed by the order from 12/13/2004 №960.
