Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the question of efficiency increasing of alternative fuels utilization in ship power plants (SPP). Fuel systems' mathematical models for biodiesel fuels and liquefied natural gas are worked out. Solutions are included of diagrams, efficient parameters of processes and equipments in fuel systems. Experimental research of diesel engine 6CN 25/34 which operates on diesel and biodiesel fuels is carried out. The methods of comprehensive criterion estimation are worked out on the base of developed model of comprehensive criterion of efficiency alternative fuels utilizing in SPP, employment of these methods is enabled to make a decision comparatively of fuel choice for different types of ships.
