Essay

The quantity levels, space and time distribution of the vegetal pigment concentrations and enzyme activity in the sediments from the different type water bodies, situated in the Dnipro and Siversky Donetz river basins, is reported. The correlations between the pigment and enzyme indices of sediments and the range of other parameters of water bodies are described. The high sensitiveness of this pigment and enzyme indices is shown. The use of this indices is recommended for the biodiagnostic of water ecosystems state.
