Essay

Object of research: roller's and stamp's instrumental steels. Article of research: structural condition, conformity to the law of forming mechanical and operating properties of instrument for hot deformation under action of thermocyclical treatment (TCT). Purpose: working-up of the scientific basis of rational modes TCT choice with the variable and invariable parameters of cycling for the increase of instrument's durability. Methods: metallographic, radiographic, electronic microscopy, tests of mechanical properties, fractal analysis of fractures. Novelty: conformities to the law of TCT influence on the complex of mechanical and working properties of rollers and stamps were substantiated theoretically; new classification approach was offered for design of the TCT schemes. Results: the rational TCT modes promoting thermal endurance and wear resistance of rollers and stamps (by comparison to the standard heat treatment) was worked up. Sphere of using: metallurgy, machine manufacturing.
