A research object is processes of socio-economic development of region. Research purpose is theoretical ground and development of practical recommendations on perfection and increase of efficiency of management economic development of the coalfield region. Research methods are an analysis and synthesis, mathematical statistics, abstractly-logical. The practical value of the got results consists in that in an aggregate they create a methodical base for practical transformation of control the system by economic development of the coalfield region in obedience to principles of steady socio-economic development of the state in the conditions of globalization. The scientific novelty of the got results consists in that methodical positions on establishment of differential rent as an economic mechanism of regional development developed for the first time. Basic ways of perfection of organizationally-economic mechanism of management economic development of the coalfield region at the level of mining enterprises; measures on directions nature protection activity in coal industry: guard of bowels of the earth and rational use of mineral resources, guard of atmospheric air and rational use of the landed resources; structure of elements of state mechanisms of management of natural resources utilization improved.
