Scientific, theoretical, methodological and practical bases of management of economic processes of Zakarpatska oblast in the context of Ukraine's entering the European Union are considered and justified. Instruments of optimization and improvement of organizational and economic mechanism of management of economic processes at regional level are formulated as follows: cross-border co-operation, increase of participation of community in development of regional policy as well as joint spatial planning of Zakarpatska oblast and border territories of neighbouring EU member-states.
