Regush A. Сerebrospinal fluid drainage in treatment of hemorrhages in the ventricular system

Dissertation is devoted to improvement of treatment results of acute cerebrovascular disorders, accompanied by hemorrhage into ventricular system, through performing cerebrospinal fluid drainage operations.The results of diagnostic and treatment of 245 patients with acute cerebral blood flow disorder that manifested as intraventricular hemorrhage were analyzed.The patients were divided into groups depending on the type of treatment.The most effective ways of treatment were extracorporeal endolumbal fluid drainage - 52.2% positive results and combination of fluid drainage operations with other surgical treatment methods - 32.1% positive results. At open surgical intervention without liquor drainage positive results were observed in 12.6% cases. Conservative therapy of intraventricular hemorrhage was less effective than other variants of treatment. At conservative treatment good results were obtained at 1.5% patients, satisfactory - at 13.4%, unsatisfactory - at 4.5%; 80.6% patients died.
