Phase equilibria in the B-B2O3, B-BN, B-BN-B2O3 systems have been experimentally studied at a pressure of 5 GPa in the temperature range from 700 to 2700 K. Phase diagrams of the B-B2O3, B-BN and B-BN-B2O3 systems at 5 GPa have been constructed for the first time. The B6O boron suboxide, B13N2 boron subnitride, and composite materials based on them have been synthesized at high pressures and temperatures and their hardness and wettability by copper-based melts have been defined.
