Essay

Four characteristic nanosystems, where the presence of nanoparameter have a nontrivial influence upon the electrodynamic processes, are considered. The anomalous temperature dependence of the Casimir force in the system "bulk metal - metal nanofilm" is predicted and analyzed. The novel transport phenomenon of the voltage-driven quantum oscillations of the conductance in the graphene nanofilm is studied. The unusual effect of the hysteretic behavior of the phase in the wave reflected from a slab of layered superconductor when changing the incident wave amplitude, is analyzed. The method to synthesize the nanosystems with the controllable diffraction characteristics is proposed. This method is based on the relationship between the correlation properties of nanosystem and its response to the external electromagnetic field.
