Presents results of the study of meliorative properties of five water phototrophs (Arthrospira platensis, Acutodesmus obliquus, Dunaliella salina, Ceratophyllum demersum, Eichornia crassipes). Mathematical model of additional sewage cleaning, after its having passed preliminary stages of mechanical and biological clearing has been developed. Method of updating sewage structure for optimization of consumption of biogenes elements depending on the requirements of the investigated cultures of water phototrophs has been put forward. Possibility of additional cleaning of household sewage to a predetermined level has been shown experimentally. The comparative estimation of growth and assimilating characteristics of the investigated microalgae species and HWР has been mad which allowed to develop recommendations on the choice of objects for clearing waters with various characteristics and impurity degree. The complex scheme of additional cleaning of sewage with microalgae and HWP, allowing to minimize the influence of drains of treatment facilities on water bodies and environment has been developed.
