In the thesis an original typification of diatoms theca shapes based on cells girdle and valve surface shapes has been realized. 15 types of theca shapes have been distinguishes and described. The algorithms of 3D diatoms models construction have been developed. The methods of 3D diatoms models construction and their using for diatoms biovolumes and surface area calculation have been described. The spatial distribution of benthic diatoms morphometric values over Sevastopol and Laspy Bays (the Black Sea, SW part of Crimea peninsula) has been analyzed.
