Manchul B. Integrative Trends in Science: Potential and Forms of Actualization

The thesis considers the basis for unity of science. It shows that differentiation was accompanied by scientific knowledge integrity which involved not only cooperation among different branches of science, but also exchange of approaches, research methods, scientific language which led to emergence of new disciplines. It is determined that the cognitive potential of interdisciplinary integration, namely the interpretation of such concepts as rationality, objectivity, neutral knowledge, inter-subjectivity, and value aspects became the basis for cooperation not only within the natural sciences and the humanities, but also between them.
