Dissertation is dedicated to enhancing method of control of computer networks. This method allows to improve quality of control of network processes. For better detection delay time data and buffer size needed to transfer data without packet loss, the mathematical models that take into account the fractal nature of traffic. In this work the comparative analysis of prediction error priori statistical characteristics of network traffic, which are used as a priori data to configure systems with a reference model. Furthermore, we proved that with increasing parameter Hurst, self-similar traffic prediction error asymptotically decreases. So, Hurst parameter may serve additional information about the expected error.
