Essay

The thesis is dedicated to establishing the effect of uranium (VI) and strontium on biological and physical-chemical properties of B. polymyxa IMV 8910 cells for using bacterial biomass as a biosorbent for reducing of anthropogenic load on the environment. It is first shown that the B. polymyxa can to absorb of dissolved U(VI) and Sr(II) ions and found that the absorption of metal ions is carried out by biosorption. It is shown the efficiency of using of B. polymyxa biomass for purification of water solutions, contaminated by uranium (VI) and strontium. Recommendations on technology of biosorbent use have been proposed.
