The methods - cutting theories, theories of probability, mathematical statistics, mathematical design and optimization. The novelty - system of objective functions and limitations for optimization of cutting process taking into account the requirements of production. The results - worked out and applied in industry of recommendation on the choice of constructions of toolpiece and cutting modes for middle lathes. The industry - Engineering.
