The object is processes of formation of competitiveness of Ukrainian maritime regions. The aim is the development of theoretical, methodic and practical basis of the increase of competitiveness of a region on the basis of a cluster model.. The methods are analysis, synthesis, scientific abstraction, economical-statistical, logical generalization, SWOT-analysis, economical-mathematic and system analysis. Theoretical and practical results – theoretical and methodical positions and practical recommendations for the application of the cluster model to the increase of competitiveness of Ukrainian maritime regions, the concept of formation of the service iron and steel cluster. Novelty – the conceptual approach to the increase of competitiveness of a region by application of the “cluster lens” model.
