Mazurenko V. Biological and ecological peculiarities of forms and varieties of Robinia L. genus in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to the research of biological and ecological peculiarities of Robinia L. genus in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The system of Robinia L. genus and the morphological peculiarities of all the known varieties of Robinia L. genus were analyzed. The phylogenesis peculiarities of Robinia L. genus were investigated on the basis of generalization of paleobotanical findings and our own analysis. The rhythms of seasonal growth and Robinia L. genus development, which were introduced in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, and their peculiarities of blossoming, fruiting, winter and drought resistance, light sensitivity and soil acidity were studied. The means of seedage and vegetative propagation (including microclonal in vitro) were analyzed. It was established that natural and climate conditions of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine are favourable for cultivation of forms and varieties of Robinia L. The experience of the introduction of forms and varieties of Robinia L. genus was summed up and the form and variety composition of the genus in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine was established. The perspectives of the introduction and acclimatization of varieties of Robinia L. genus in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine were estimated. Also the ornamentality of forms and varieties of Robinia L. genus was estimated and the possibility of their usage in green construction was summarized.
