Essay

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the state of antioxidative system in rat's kidneys in case of toxic influence of tetrachloromethane, effect of melatonin, and Echinacea purpurea tincture under different light conditions. It was elucidated, that in case of tetrachloromethane intoxication regardless of light conditions there were morphological changes in rats' kidneys, caused by increase free-radical oxidation of lipids and proteins and changes in subcircadian rhythms and activities of antioxidative enzymes (catalase, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione-S-transferase).
