Essay

The dissertation is a study of energy spectra of quasi-particles in both monolayer and bilayer spherical quantum dots of cube symmetry crystals in the single-band and multiband approximations. Potential energies of the interactions between charged particles, which are derived on the basis of the exact Poisson equation solutions, were used. With those energies the Schrodinger equation was solved, the energy dependence of hole, exciton, donor and acceptor impurity were obtained as the functions of quantum dot size. The comparison of the energy spectrums of holes and acceptors in the singleband and multiband approximations was conducted.
