End-to-end computer-integrated design process of thin-walled piston engine with forced ignition. Scientific justification and improvement of technology for designing thin-walled piston of modern ICE with the forced ignition through the use of multi-level computational models and techniques of end-to-end computer-integrated and resource designing, which permits to increase the technical level and the resource of ICE. Analytical, numerical and analytical-numerical methods were applied in the process end-to-end computer-integrated design of thin-walled piston of ICE with forced ignition. In particular, applied methods are finite element method, experimental methods for static and dynamic studies of stressedly-deformed mode of thin-walled ICE's piston with the use of strain measurement and thermometry. The technology of designing thin-walled piston of ICE with forced ignition was improved due to application of the method end-to-end computer-integrated design, which is based on the use of multi-level design models of determine the piston's stressedly-deformed mode and construction rationalization by set parameters. The choice of a sufficient level of complexity of the piston's model was substantiated for the corresponding piston design phase, based on the features of limiting conditions for the models of each level of complexity. Inverse problem of determining the geometrical parameters of the equivalent area in the lower-level model for thin-walled ICE's piston with the forced ignition was firstly formulated and solved. The relations between thermal and mechanical components of the stressedly-deformed mode for thin-walled ICE's piston with forced ignition were determined, The influence of the components on the overall loading of the piston was revealed. The proposed methods can be adapted for the design of other parts and units of modern ICE. Universal testing machine was developed, it allows to simulate the static power load of thin-walled piston taking into account the actual state of the connecting rod. The obtained mathematical relations of geometrical parameters of equivalent area on the parameters of the piston-piston pin can be used during the designing of the same type of thin-walled piston of ICE. Results of the research have found their practical application in the OAO "AVTRAMAT" (Kharkiv). According to the developed method the series of pistons for ICE of groups VAZ, MEMZ, GAZ and UAZ were designed. This pistons were passed endurance tests and adopted for a series manufacture.
