Essay

Research object – process of surface formation and visualization triangulated surfaces with ray tracing. Research target is the synthesis of method and structure special processors for improve realism and performance by means of using limit triangulated surfaces as source data. Methods of research – methods of analytic geometry and matrix algebra for development methods of surface formation and visualization, methods of function approximation and interpolation for improvement method of priority rendering, methods of mathematical modeling for performance check developed methods and algorithm; methods of analysis and digital automata synthesis for development structure special processors; simulation methods for testinng proposed structure special processors. Theoretical and practical results – the thesis is devoted to questions of devise methods and construction of special processors for real-time generation and visualization (with ray-tracing method) limit triangulated surface. In thesis is proposed limit triangulation method for parametric surface, generation method for wide area relief with topography, visualization method for limit triangulated surface with image generator angle error, texture mapping and filtration method. Method of priority rendering has received further development. The method development consists in the way of 3D-object classification for frame buffers, in image refresh criteria, in method of virtual sphere localization. Structural and functional designs of special processors of generation and visualization limit triangulated surface are developed. Degree of implementation – the research results are used in the Ukranian Spacecenter and SPW “Terminal”. The scope of use - the organizations which dealt with realtime visualization of complex 3D-scenes.
