Essay

The thesis is devoted to the theoretical and experimental research of individual responsibility in difficult life situations. Two theoretical models were set on the basis of the theoretical analysis: the integrating structure of responsibility and the realization of responsibility in difficult life situations. The investigation reveals on how individual responsibility affects the choice of response and behavior in difficult circumstances. In particular, it shows that the taking the responsibility depends on the peculiarity of difficult life situation and the influence it has on the person (structure and personal qualities), its characteristics such as locus of control, adaptability, the way of behavior and response strategies based on previous personal experience, level of reflexivity, satisfaction, development, realization and type of responsibility. Difficult life situations like job loss and non-initiative divorce are common for personalities with lower levels of responsibility.
