Essay

The thesis based on a wide spectrum of sources and literature analyses foreign policy of Romania in the context of its Euro-Atlantic integration. The author reflects fundamental principles of Euro-Atlantic integration; political and social development of Romania as well as the main elements of its foreign policy, in particularly, relations with neighboring countries. The author demonstrated that Romania's aspiration to be integrated into Euro-Atlantic and European structures had an positive impact upon normalization and some improvement of its relations with neighboring countries. But in case of Ukraine this changes weren't the results of declining Romania's revanchist goals. It was changed only methods and tactics of its achieving. The work reveals that Romania's integration into the Organization of North-Atlantic Treaty was a result of political decision made by states - NATO's members, first of all - USA.
