Dankiv V. Operational Risk Management within the Framework of the Regional Competitiveness

The thesis is dedicated to the theoretical substantiation of the influences the sociocognitive mechanisms have on the level of regional competitiveness based on individual evaluations of operational risks. In this work the essence of the term 'operational risk' is researched and the role and place of cognitivism in the risk evaluation is defined; the concept of regional competitiveness and its correspondence to the operational risks are formulated. The statistical analysis of the competitiveness level for the Transcarpathian Region was conducted based on a set of main indicators. The empirical evaluation of operational risks and comparative analysis based on the expert method were performed. Recommendations regarding the directions for improving the management of operational risks were developed.
