Essay

Object - the compositional microprogram control unit (CMCU) with the division of сodes. Goal - increasing the speed of circuits of CMCU with division of codes by applying of methods of caching of signals. Research methods and hardware - the formal apparatus of the theory of finite automata, set theory and Boolean algebra, computer simulation. Theoretical and practical results - solved an actual scientific and practical problem of improving of performance of compositional microprogram control unit using cache memory of microinstructions and a new method of increasing the efficiency of the cache. Novelty: method of using of caching of signals in structures of CMCU with division of codes for increasing of the average speed of devices is proposed; new structures and methods of synthesis of CMCU with division of codes and cache memory of microinstructions having a higher average speed than the previously known structures, are developed; a heuristic algorithm for optimizing the placement of microinstructions in the address space of control memory, allowing more efficient use of cache memory in the developed structures, is developed. The level of implementation - control of main power network in enterprise "National Power Company UKRENERGO". Area of use - companies developing digital devices on the basis of programmable chips.
