Dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the sequence, space-time bounds and dynamic conditions of the thrust formation of the Ukrainian Carpathians.The structural-evolutional method to determine an age of synsedimentary thrusts has been developed. Using its criteria four formation stages of structure of the Ukrainian Carpathians are defined: the Early Cretaceous, Early Paleogene, Late Eocene and Late Oligocene - Miocene ones. In the context of evolution of the Carpathian-Pannonian region, appropriate tectonic position of thrusts at every stage, features of their structure and morphology are established. The relationship between evolution of the Carpathian paleobasin, dynamics of the collision process and periods of the active thrusting is specified. Based on the facial analysis the phases of sedimentation of the Cretaceous-Paleogene sedimentary rock complex are outlined. Within the framework of elastoplasticity the genetically inherited 2D finite element models, which represent sedimentary complex of the Flysch Carpathians tested for collision compression, are constructed. The stress and strain distribution is analysed which prove position, morphology and internal structures of thrusts. It is distinguished three stages of thrust formation.
