Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development and establishment of a specialized spectrometer equipment for validation of satellite measurements, including remote determination of chlorophyll content in vegetation at canopy level using method of derivative vegetation indices and method of principal components. The following tasks were realized: analysis of the structure of known field, mobile and airborne spectrometers for remote sensing of vegetation and spectrometric methods for evaluation of chlorophyll content in it and the potential for remote estimation of chlorophyll content in plants by the reflection spectra of vegetation in the field, sensitivity of these methods to parameters of spectrometric instruments and environmental factors (light, colour, temperature light source, the inclination angle of the Sun) and measurable characteristics of the object (projective covering of soil by vegetation, etc.); studying of influence of different factors and parameters of the spectrometer hardware-software complex (HSC) on accuracy of estimation of chlorophyll content in vegetation; justifying structure of HSC for remote sensing of vegetation; optimization its parameters; formulating the necessary technical requirements and its using for developing of experimental exemplar. Experimental field research of created exemplar of HSC proved the possibility of determining chlorophyll content of vegetation under natural lighting conditions at different levels of the projective covering of soil by vegetation. Created spectrometric HSC can be used for validation of satellite data, as well as for remote sensing of phytocenoses under field conditions. Key words: remote determination of chlorophyll content in vegetation spectrometric complex, subsatellite validation.
