Essay

The dissertation is devoted to decision actual problem of pipeline leak search and localization for pipeline operation reliability control and emergency situation prevention due to the real-time leak localization. The analysis of pipeline leak control methods and devices was conducted, which showed that perspective methods are remote pipeline state control methods, in particular with test acoustic wave's use. The mathematical model of acoustic wave's distribution process in pipeline transporting fluid is developed and experimental test results analysis is given, which enabled to establish correlation between pipeline impulse response parameters and leak appearance place, choose test signal type and develop the new automatic pipeline leak control method with the robust signal use.
